I could use some advice. I'm makng plans for this weekend. My home sits on 20 acres of mostly farm field, but backs up to some public land. I've got some nice bucks showing up on my cameras, but I think I hit it a little too hard during archery season, and I haven't seen anything in the last week. My uncle has a farm about 45 minutes away. It's all corn field, very little cover. But, i don't think theres been as much pressure or activity down there. But, I've never seriously scouted the property, no idea what's really there, but he sees deer from time to time. He doesn't hunt though. I've only got a few hours saturday morning to hunt, but I could hunt most of sunday. Should I let things cool off at home for another week and go down to the farm? Or be careful and stick it out at home? Wind should be favorable both days. |

I am not familiar with your AO butt it could be the rut is changing their patterns vs your pressure. Though, I know hunting smaller areas of access pressure does push them off onto others lands so six to one half a dozen the other? When I hunt at home (only 40 acres) I try to only walk through the property once and find a spot to sit. When I am out on state land I wonder all day. |
