Had an opportunity to hit up a headboat to do some snapper fishing while the daughter was at a lacrosse tournament in Panama City Beach. First trip had some vermillion snapper and jacks on out stringer. Second trip was a short one (4hrs) and then rain sent us back to dock about 30min early. Decided to keep all the grunts to try out. Nice. I went out of Clearwater FL on day trips on those. Couple hours each way to get deep enough water for this stuff. Amberjack, some don’t like it, I loved it. We got into grouper too. Attached File |

We just usually refer to them as “party boats”. |

Just a big pay per person (head) fishing charter. Small galley, bathrooms, etc. Think there were 70 spots on the first one and 50 on the second. Cheating style fishing, just stand at your spot and drop to the bottom then reel in. A lot of tangles if the people around you arent paying attention but I’ve always had a good time |
