| Any tips on camping in Palo Duro Canyon in March? Driving through the area in March and planning to spend one night in the canyon. Probably Fortress Cliff campground. Might do a short(ish) hike on the Lighthouse Trail but that depends on when I get in to the area. |

Hackberry had the best shade. Juniper is set up for big rigs like ours. Like others said, 1 night is kind of a waste, but it's better than camping at Walmart. I've done a few one-nighters while heading to SD, even though it takes me well out of my way. I just like the park that much. |

| Thanks for the input. I'm just looking to check the park out. Have been to Amarillo multiple times but never down to Palo Duro. I have other things I am headed to so one night is all I'm gonna get. But, I'll probably get in mid day so it'll give me a little time to check the area out. |

Enjoyed my trip to the Palo Duro Canyon. Only had an afternoon/evening. Was hoping to do a little hiking but got in later than I planned. I’d definitely go back to explore some more. Thanks for all the tips |
