The event webpage states that CCW and any dangerous weapon are not permitted. However, I am familiar with PA carry laws and understand that in PA "concealed is concealed" and if you are found to have a gun where a "no gun" sign is posted they can just make you to leave. BUT, I also know that some PA events will post metal detectors or other electronic screening devices at entrances to buildings or even for outdoor events. Is it possible to carry inside or outside at this show? |

To get into the show you will go through detectors and they will look through your bags. If they do it like previous years your bag won’t go through the detector, but they’re fairly thorough in looking inside. I work the show almost every year, if you have any questions send them my way. |

I do find a certain irony in that many Rvers are independent thinking, likely conservative folks that the people putting on the show believe there is a need for such security. Most likely is a venue requirement though. I have been to a couple RV shows in SC. If there was ever a place that I did not feel threatened at any time, it would have to be at an RV show. GTO may know, but has there ever been an act of violence at an RV show? |

I’ve sold to people all over the country so I don’t think it’s regional really, although the numbers may be a bit skewed toward conservatives. I’ve never heard of anything like that at a show, but I’d be willing to bet with enough digging you’d find something. If I remember correctly, the security at the PA show is guys from Hersheypark. It’s my favorite show of the year and I’m looking forward to being there. |
