Black Friday is here again and I'm in the middle of gathering components for installing solar on our camper. My question is about batteries. Would it be better to get 2 100ah batteries or 1 200ah battery for a 12v system? Im looking at the Li Time batteries. Specifically the 230ah battery vs 2 100ah mini batteries. There's about a $120 cost, the 230ah battery being more expensive. I have a space of 24.5" x 8" for a battery box. |

If you bought them what is your review of them? I see they’re about three hundred bucks right now. |

We got a Li Time 230AH with low temp cut off. Seems to be working just fine. I did a little bit of running the 12V stuff with it when we got it. Used the panels to charge it the first time. We don't boondock yet, buy I wanted something bigger in case we get stuck in a Walmart parking lot one night. Got a camco double battery box and replaced the 50AH Lead Acid that the camper came with. Ran the propane heater, 12V TV and some lights for a couple hours in the driveway to test it out. We have 4 100W renogy panels and a 30A Renogy charge controller. Overall, i like it. Was simple to install and the battery posts can be replaced if you need a longer bolt. Instructions are typical translation-style and can be confusing with the English wording, but the basics are to get it, charge it up the first time and install it in your system. |
