Was looking for a high BC bullet for my seekins HAVAK HIT in 308 with a 1:11.25 twist. Came across this pill. Just tried this bullet at the range a few days ago. Excellent results. Just curious if anyone has tried it on a hog. https://www.hornady.com/bullets/rifle/30-cal-.308-174-gr-eld-vt#!/ |
| Hornady marks their bullet selections as gopher, med game (deer), large game (elk) or target. They have that bullet marked as gopher....that is one big and heavy bullet for a gopher. That would just lead me to question construction and whether it would penetrate far enough on bigger hogs. |

Does seem odd to make a 174 gr pill for a gopher. Would be interesting to see if it will kill a hog. |
