On my boat I have an HDS 12 up front and an HDS 12 at the dash with an HDS 9 on a ram mount off to the side of the dash. Just upgraded to 10 gage wire for power and a dedicated battery but found something I had forgot about. If my HDS 9 isn't hooked up the HDS 12 acts like it doesn't have a transducer. Any ideas why? Boats a 2014 Ranger Z521

It seems to me that I had a similar issue at one point, but I don’t remember the solution. I’m going to be wrenching on my boat this weekend. I’ll try to remember exactly what I did… Fuck, my graphs are ancient though. I just can’t afford to replace them, LOL |

I'd like to try the garmins but for what it would cost to replace what I have there's no way I'd spend the money and without any experience with them, there is no way I'd order a boat with them. |

Do you have everything on an NMEA network? Do you have 2/3 of them pointing to the one graph that does have the transducer? It should be a shared device. |

Is it setup using like a screen mirror type of deal? My Elite TI2 has a networking/wifi/bluetooth option where it can display on an iPad/iphone/etc but only when it's powered up and on. I assume it's using some type of link like that given that I'm guessing you only have 2 ducers (front on troller and back by the outboard) ETA: Which graph the 9 or the 12 has the input cable from the ducer? |

I need to check and see if all 3 are hooked up or if the 12 in the dash is daisy chained off the 9 on the side. |

So you have two depth finders with two transducers? One transducer may not be pointing correctly, fuse blown, wire loose, or a host of other problems. I have two on my boat, same brand, but have to have two different transducers. One is in hull and occasionally the epoxy comes loose and I have to reglue it. |

He's running into a slave/master relationship on the cockpit graphs and is trying to find out if he's networked properly or if graph1 is mirroring to graph2 through some sort of WiFi network or direct subnet between those two because cockpit graph2 only works when cockpit graph1 is on. |
