40 is closed, I'm on our 80m calling freq-- 3.861 calling CQ arfcom...

I had some very faint bleed over, but it's gone.

I can go to our 80m alternate, 3.961

it is the Eastern Regional Patriots Net... A pretty good net. 3860 8pm EST 6 nights a week.

Down on 3.775 I'm picking up some NVIS I think... they sound like old Texas boys, but I haven't gotten any calls yet.

So my antenna has decided to start tuning 80m. I did make some changes to it, it only has 6" of coax and thats feeding the balun. The rest is ladder line.

Tomorrow, Saturday OCT. 4, 2008 from approx.9am till approx. 4pm I will be transmitting from Radioville, Indiana, along with members of the Starke County Amateur Radio Club. Radioville is a town envisioned in the late 1920's that just never got off the drawing boards. It is supposedly the only "Radioville" in the United States. Those that make contact will get special event Radioville QSL cards. I will transmit on 40meters at 7.213 and 7.223 the arfcom frequencies.

Sorry just got back, that was CST. Got a Good copy on Glock Tiger!
It was a tough day for contacts only using a hamstick stuck in the ground about 17 ft from the back of the truck right along side a busy highway.

I was looking for the Echo link net and found this. Where'd you guys go? With a few exceptions, I don't recognize a lot of the posters.

2008 shows to be the least amount of solar activity since 1913.
