| I bought an Aero Precision July builders set some time ago and decided to build it out. I suppress everything and came across your gas block which I definitely want on this build and need to know if it would be compatible. It has an Atlas 15" R one handguard. I'm wanting a 6mm Carbon Fiber Proof Research barrel. It would be 18-20" with rifle+1 length gas length. Would your gas block be compatible? Would it be too tight to fit in the handguard? |

Aero doesn't machine the entire length of the top portion of the Atlas rails. Since the extrusion they use is made to also accommodate the lowered center section of the Atlas S rail this can cause fitment problems with the height of the Gas Control. IF your configuration places the Gas Control near the end of the handguard (in the part they do machine) then you'll be good to go. If the Gas Control will be deep under the middle of the handguard then you'll need to make some minor mods for clearance. This is not a hard change to make, but is one more step. Our friends at Davidson Design do this often. The vast majority of handguards on the market have no fitment issues if you have the option of selecting a different handguard. Yeah I read that compatibility article, looks like it would fit. This is my Builders set. It's the 15" Atlas R-One. It would be a great fit for this build. |
