Not a complaint thread.

Have a Mk18 upper I bought some years ago and used QUITE a bit both suppressed and full auto along the way but recently started having issues with the BCG not going into battery.  Bought a new DD bolt for replacement and now she’s running great again but emailed DD about it and within 24hrs had an RMA and prepaid return label to send in the upper.  Just emailed them to cancel it because I got my money’s worth out of the bolt (plus some) and will continue to run the Mk18 upper until it falls apart.

Just wanted to give a bravo and pat on the back for great customer service because these days I can’t even receive a fast food order correctly!

Should the barrel extension be replaced also?

I would like to know what your round count was for it wear the bolt out.

Same.

My PSA 10.5 made it to 11,000 rounds and it was the barrel that wore out, keyholing 77gr.  I'm still running the bolt on a new BBL.  Even though DD barrels are known to be top-of-line, I still would expect it to wear out before the bolt does.  Do you know the round count?  It may not actually be worn out, and could just be some of the parts, which are wear items and normal(?)  In my case, the PSA bolt's ejector spring did disintegrate at 9590 rounds and started jamming, so I replaced the spring, and did a full bolt rebuild replacing basically everything - it's still running on the new replacement barrel.  Unless your teeth are gnashed up (unlikely), this could just be a bolt-rebuild kit away from being good again.

And yes! regardless - Props to DD on both customer service and making a gun that it sounds like held up very nicely to apparently a high round count.  Which of course, is just another day in the office to a top-outfit like DD!

I know, I'm a nerdy engineer - but I track rounds.  I keep one of these with each gun, which also includes notes and zero's and such:
