Hi SDS imports! Just picked up a 1911 Carry B9R this past weekend. Took it out to the range the next day and put it through its paces and it is a great shooting gun! I became disappointed though when, i came to the realization that not a single Weapon mounted light i own will fit on the gun. I have an insight M3, Surefire X300, and streamlight TLR1-HL. even after attempting to switch the locking "keys" to every option thats available with these lights, none of them allow those to fit correctly on the gun, the closest is the TLR-1 with the TSW/99 Key, but even then the light is too long and, when it does manage to lock down, it is canted up severely and not parallel to the bore. Its disheartening that the two most common pistol lights on the market dont fit, as that means that holster selection will be even more difficult if not impossible. What lights have you tested to fit on this gun? |

The Night Stick was the only light I found that fit mine. I’ve been meaning to try one of of my TLR-7s but haven’t got around to it. My TLR-1 & X300u wouldn’t fit. Attached File |

Based off the suggestion above I did pick up a nightstick twm-850. It will mount on this gun Attached File But yeah, also as mentioned the rail is Kinda short. This pic shows the nightstick, a TLR-1 and x300. On the TLR-1 and surefire the little rail interface bars sit too far forward to engage the rail. The gun needs to be one more rail section longer or so for it to fit. Attached File |
