After being a customer for 15 years it seems they no longer sell anything but mounts, triggers and bolt action guns? What does everyone think mark is doing? Who the hell you suppose is giving him advice? i have never seen such a self destruction of a great company. So enlighten me business owners what the hell is he thinking? |

Focus on core products that produce revenue through channels that reduce overhead. Build a business model that supports your lifestyle and personal needs. Where is the mystery? The margin on one rifle can likely be made 10x over making and selling triggers and mounts with the same investment. It’s called running a business vs letting the business run you. |

Mark is likely on his way out and just looking for a buyer along with some marketing idiot telling him this is how everyone else does it. Sad to see Such a great company fall to where it is today. |

I've wondered many times what Mark is smoking with the crazy decisions the last several years. It's a shame. Other than the MBT, I can't in good conscience recommend any of their products. I will enjoy what I have but I will not buy any more. |
The 2nd is not about hunting, it never was. It was put in place for one reason and one reason only. You can't have them, we won't give them up, so get over it.

Look here on ARFCOM, every so often the "darling manufacturer" of GD shifts. At one point, it was "your funeral, bud" if you didn't buy spikes. Before that, people couldn't fawn over Colt enough. Other times it's been Noveski. Other times it's larue. I don't think the companies changed, just the Internet bandwagoning changes. So, manufacturers can't count on that lasting forever. |

You must have missed the poster saying his black Friday sale triggers at midway had not shipped yet from last fall. LaRue cant sell a dam thing if you don't get it out the door. midway still is showing no stock on triggers. Primary arms has not one rifle for sale. I have a covert case on backorder from the old website, guessing they no longer sell them at all. i emailed customer support to buy a mrgg upper, they don't sell those either. The old business model of placing the order and waiting two weeks at least delivered in two years. This new model you cant give your money to them no matter how hard you try. |
|
You can find MBT's in stock if you look. Primary arms has both right now. Other dealers have them as well. https://www.primaryarms.com/ar-15/triggers/brand/larue-tactical |

Well this is classic example of why Mark is getting away from selling direct to the consumer. |

What is the classic Example? As a customer that has spent 10's of thousands of dollars with LaRue i'm just trying to figure out how to spend more and mark seems to be trying his best to make it impossible. Typically you don't have to jump through hoops to buy a companies products especially the ones that do not require a ffl for the transaction. |

His business, his rules and all... BUT, it's still sad to see the direction they've taken. They could sell a shit ton more if they wanted to... A hub compatible TQ, more tOBR/MRGG stuff, bring back the tAR barrels and rifles, etc., etc. Oh whale. I'm still a fanboi/collector, and will always love the brand. |

Sheesh, looks like the logo for a cosmetics brand. Glad I got an UU kit when I did; but it was toward the end and delivery time made it feel like a "be happy you got your order filled at all" transaction. |

He's just tired of dealing with retail customers. I get it. |

I'm down to one tan (which is my favorite), have several UDE, black, OD. Alway watching for hats for sale, new or lightly used with the old logo. I legit wear one every single day. Have a couple sig logo hats, but I don't wear them often. |

I think you are reading way too much far into this, the only reason he would change his business model is to increase sales and from what i can tell nobody can get their hands on much of anything. The old way might have taken a couple of months but that’s still a sale on the books. I don think he changed because of people posting wait times on the net, hell a lot of the time that made his product more valuable. |

They were proceeded by companies like Stag Arms (who was proceeded by companies like Bushmaster and RRA) and then later superseded by companies like Aero Precision and Anderson MFG. ETA: As far as Larue, I think his original products were very good for the time but he has failed to continue to improve and innovate and has allowed his company to become mostly irrelevant today. Pretty much everything he makes (with the possible exclusion of his MBT triggers?) can either replaced with something better or something equally as good but for less money elsewhere. |

I got my BF triggers finally from Midway last month (or maybe it was late July) so I’m good now. At the $86 each that I paid for them they’re worth it to me but at $135 each I’ll look elsewhere. I still have 2 left and nothing to put them in so I’m good on triggers for a long time. I still like the LT-204 mount more than any other mount and I *think* I still have a spare around here somewhere. I also won’t pay their current asking price for them so I’ll have to look elsewhere in the future. |
Probably better overall for the business.
