I purchased an Aimpoint PRO last December on the EE. First red dot and love it. Everything works great, except there is “stuff” around the edges of the front lens. Here’s a picture.
It doesn’t bother me a ton or make my shooting any worse than it already is, but now that I've had it for several months I do wonder what it is. After watching LAV’s Aimpoint video I suspect it’s sealant? **I did wipe the lens with a microfiber cloth after taking the pic and got rid of the dust, etc in the middle, but the halo of crud from 9:00 to 3:00 is still there. Any ideas?

It's probably a bit of the sealant that they use. Some guy, I think, had a similar issue and sent it back. It's up to you to send it back if it bothers you that much.
On my first PRO I saw a bit of refraction inside the tube when using it out in bright daylight. I was all  about it for a bit, but then just accepted it and still have it, as it happens only at certain angles.
