I know of the ripstock/ripbrace... I'm curious what other PDW style stock options that are available that are compatible with the CMMG Banshee in 9mm. Many of them use custom BCG's, some use custom springs, custom buffers and custom buffer tubes - and I'd prefer one that's known to work with the Banshee 9mm rather than need to mess with it. My lower is the AR-style lower with AR mags and is already a SBR, so this would be a stock, not a brace. |

I use the ARC PDW stock on mine, which also uses an AR style lower. Note, if you order one, order it with the standard AR buffer and NOT the 9mm buffer. ARC was under the impression when CMMG came out with the Banshee that their system would not work on that platform because on the 9mm version, their buffer mothers into the BCG. However, there is not enough clearance for the BCG to retract all the way into their short tube. SO, they said, "sorry it won't work". Well, I planned on using it on a 556 AR so I ordered it anyway. I decided to try it and lo and behold it works perfect. So just order the standard 556 buffer and you'll be GTG. |
| Thanks for the reply. This was a couple months ago, so I ended up buying a few stocks and trying them out. I have two 9mm Banshee's and ended up going with the Q Shorty Stock on my space-grey Banshee. On the other one, I ended up using a CMMG minimalist Ripstock (uses standard AR buffer), but replaced the CMMG metal stock with a LWRCi UCIW stock (the super short one that looks like a shrunken SOPMOD) and left the ripstock buffer extension in place, so I can just extend it... I like that setup a LOT better than the Q stock. The cheek rest on the Q stock is unnatural to me - I have to move in closer than I would normally. |
