It's been a few years since the entire situation regarding you guys and Springfield Armory with your lobbying group dropping opposition for an anti-2A bill here in IL, and that lobbying group giving money to gun grabbing politicians.
As an IL resident and working for an FFL, it rightfully pissed me off, and we even moved our business out of state due to the anti-2A climate in IL. That being said, I'm always willing to listen. I'm curious what has RRA done, other than dissolving that lobbying group, to help fix things here in IL and support the 2nd Amendment as a whole since that whole debacle. Not trying to come at you guys with pitchforks and torches, I just want to hear what's up. |

We've continued both indirectly lobbying and continued funding of pro-2A efforts in Illinois via ISRA, NSSF, NRA, ILFFL and other organizations.
We've hosted legislative events to both educate legislators and give them positive/fun shooting experiences at the range. We've continued to sponsor pro-2A events and activities both throughout the state and nationally. A lot of what we do is hard tp point at and say "look, we're the good guys again" because they're the same actions we were taking and the same groups we were helping previously...with the exception of the lobbying group. Just staying in Illinois is staying in the fight. We're tired of all of the crap, too, but if everyone leaves we've ceded the anti-gunners the right to do whatever they want, and we're not willing to do that. We'll leave if and when we have to, but we're not there yet. Steve/RRA |
