Upgrade to the ambi charging handle, and you'll be golden. I've had one since its release.

I have a self built AR47, not as nice as the CMMG, but it’s one of my favorites and the one my friends always want to shoot first lol.

It’s actually a fun round from an AR platform, and decent for medium sized game hunting too.
