I was told the upper would ship by the end of that week. I called again this morning and left a message for Alfred. Hopefully I will hear something next week. |

i thought i was goin nuts when i won in oct and didnt get it till dec... they said they forgot about me cause of the OBR.. hang in there guys.. you'll get it..and when you do.... it will all be worth the wait.... trust me

Pics of my Manna from Heaven (Texas). Arrived at Fort Mom's at 1800hrs to pick up package. Greeted by alert sentry. Don't let the size and happy-tail fool ya. He's 70 pounds of GTFO!  The Queen Mum is always happy when #1 Son visits, even if it is for some dang ol' gun thing. Note that the sentry ably has mom's back. (BTW Mark LaRue, Mum wants to know if you ever spent time in Lawrence KS as a yoot.) Ahh, The Prize!  Eternal vigilance takes a high toll. (obligatory foot in pic)  The Fourth & Final Seal has been broken. (I borrowed this foot)  Assembled enough to test at the range. Talk about tight. I had to literally beat the upper (just with my hand) onto the lower. It shot completely without problems and might I add, with rather nice down range results. Granted all I did was sight-in the irons at 25yds, but it kept putting every round of XM193 into the same ragged hole. Dunno what oil you LaRue guys saturated the upper with, but it smells good hot!   Now to save my pennies for some good glass for the included SPR mount. And if Albert will ever charge my card and send out that LaRue billet lower I can retire the rather pedestrian Superior lower that it currently wears. It's sorta like wearing jeans with a tuxedo jacket. Thanks a TON to everyone at LaRue, especially His Graciousness hisself, Mark! |

Thanks a TON to everyone at LaRue, especially His Graciousness hisself, Mark! Nice... Mine should be here tomorrow. It sat around all day at the local UPS hub not being delivered to my house. I guess 1 more day won't kill me, after all I haven't waited near as long as some of you have. I will post pics when I get it. I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be a long day at work. Kind of like being a kid on Christmas Eve. |
As promised, here she is, and just in time for my birth day.
For now, I went a head and dropped the upper into an SLR-15 lower I had sitting in the safe. However when I scrape up some extra cash it's going towards a LaRue lower and an optic. I also had a black hat, but I pulled it out this morning and took it to my brother at work. He didn't believe me that I had won an upper, much less this whole kit. Anyway, Mark and everyone at LaRue Tactical, thanks for this. Unfortunately, its going to be raining for the next several days, so I don't know when I'll be able to make it out to see how she does. |

February winner ETA: It still needs better glass, but here's the near-final form chock-full of LaRue goodness, a CMMG LPK with a RRA non-adjustable 2-stage trigger.
And best of all my LaRue lower says Leander Texas on the side, not Grants Pass Oregon.
