My patrol rifle. since we are not allowed to carry Larue Ar15s (policy only has a certain few brands approved) I decked mine out with the UDE kit, Optic mount and bipod mount. I fit as much Larue as I could. I will snap some picture when me and the "Dillo" go on patrol.
I also made a perfect match paint for the UDE color. it involved a mix of gray and olive drab. I guess having a girlfriend with an art degree that can match colors with her eyes helps. 
I also own one of the few Larue lowers here in Ca. Mine I wish I could Patrol with this.

Thanks! All I did was paint the rifle a base coat of Krylon khaki and then I laid a sniper veil over the rifle and used some Krylon Olive and Dark Brown paint to get the pattern. Simple and fast to do. |

Here is my new Carbine that I was working on for the last 9 months. Ordering and waiting for parts on these black AR-15s are like pulling teeth since Obama became president.
I assembled the rifle with a upper and lower from Larue Tactical. PVS-14 mounts are from GG&G (quick disconnect) and also the BUIS (back up iron sights). Larue furnished the surefire weapon mounts and FUG (forward universal grip). Main weapon sight is the Eotech 552 with it's 3X magnifier for day time plinking. The generation 3 night vision is current issue US military PVS-14 with it's 3X military lens attached. The lens can be removed for faster close range shots. Same goes for the daytime configuration, the 3X magnifier can be removed. If the Eotech weapons sight should go down for any reason, I just flip up the back up irons sights. I can see thru the Eotech like it was not even there. I finished it today and test fired it for the first time later Thursday afternoon. I sighted in the iron sights and weapons sight. I couldn't shoot with the NV as it was too light at the range. Gun runs excellent! Here are the pictures. 
I updated the pictures to add that for Christmas I added a new sling. It's a Viking Tactics Sling.

OK I have been trying to wait until I get it completed but I can't. So here is a little sneak peek of my LT rifle:
Specs: Lower is a KD with a DPMS LPK Magpul CTR MIAD grip Upper is a 18 in stealth with a 13.2 HG LT706 Bipod MBUS LT sling I have the LT lower in the safe just waiting on a RRA LPK and 2 stage trigger Still looking for some glass to sit up top My plan is to build the LT lower add a MIAD grip and a Magpul UBR and slap it on the stealth. Glass is still kinda up in the air but it will go into a LT mount thats for sure. OK well here she is:

Well, it's Bday time and my mom couldn't wait, so she ordered my first Larue product for me saying, I talked to the cops in town and they said LT has the best stuff.
So, now I need to start saving some beans for an aimpoint in a LT mount. Then, we'll start working on a LT lower with a stealth upper. Which, without ever getting to fire a LT rifle, I think I can safely say will beat the hell out of carrying this dpms for a patrol rifle :D

How do you like to two lights you have? What model surefire is the one on the left? I'm right int the middle between getting a Surefire E2D in a LT-606 or a Surefire M952, and swapping out the ARMS QD mount for a LT-170. I can't decide which one to go with tho... |

The one on the left is a Surefire 6P with a Cree Q2 LED and I love it, I've been thinking about a Malkoff M60 head for it though.
The right one is a 961XM07 with the 225 Lumen bulb, It works well but I am going to get a Lumens Factiry upgrade. If I had to chose between the two I would go with the 6P. It's lighter and the LED runs longer. ETA: The tape switch on the 6P is from the older series of classic lights. If I had it to do over I would have just gone with a 6P Defender with the clicky tail cap. |

Interesting. I was going to pull the trigger on the M952, but I haven't looked at the P6 defender yet. I've only looked at the E2D and the E2E. I like the smaller size of these over the M952.

I replaced the extractor spring with the springs on the LaRue site and no problems since. I also lubed her up a little more, which always helps. I got the upper form Midwest Industries (MI) as a package deal. The price was pretty good IIRC. I have a CMMG lower on my stealth upper, but will switch that out as soon as I can get a stealth lower. |

Did you paint all of them?
I was going with the vail, and have just switched to "grass" outlines. It works better here in TX. Didnt all of yours used to be "grass" not "veil"?

Yep, I painted them all.
I used to have a couple plastic fern-leaf thingies (old example below), but they got worn out and I kinda like the veil technique right now. I've been trying different things lately as far as painting, so I've been all about painting something then stripping it off and trying something else.
