Bought a sealed, NIB Vortex 1-8x24 Strike Eagle on EE about 3 weeks ago. The front lens cap snapped right on like it should. The rear went on but loosely. Try to flip it open and the whole lens cap would pop off the scope. Sent Vortex an email and Sarah responded the next day along for my mailing address. Few days later the new one showed up fits and functions perfectly. Took the gun out for the first time, a Ruger SFAR .308, while waiting for the lens cap to arrive, and the small nut on the pivot pin of the front cap was missing when l got home. Stole the nut off the old rear lens cap, locktited it into place. The nut is so tiny l think the drop of locktite was bigger, and had to wipe excess off the cover. There was plenty.  So the next time l went out that nut went missing too! Contacted Sarah again about needed a new front lens cap this time and she promptly sent one out. Never a question asked. Just did it. Btw, the new caps have a rivet rather than a nut and bolt. Received the new cap today and it looks great! Can't wait to take it out next Sunday with two fully functional lens caps. Lol Thank you so much Sarah! And thank you for the cap and bottle opener. I don't drink much bottled beer anymore but I'll have to buy one to try or this awesome opener.
