TNVC Displaying at the 2024 SHOT Show, Booth 62211 New Products Including NV / Thermal Fusion, New Housings, and More Sands Expo Center, Las Vegas, Nevada As a supplier of industry leading Night Vision, Thermal, and Visual Augmentation and Headborne Systems solutions to Law Enforcement, Military, and Consumer markets alike since 2005, TNVC is excited to be displaying once again at the NSSF SHOT Show at the Sand Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada located at Booth 62211 on the first floor of the Venetian in the Galileo Ballroom. As always, Tactical Night Vision Company will have several of the newest and most advanced products on display, including the Ops-Core RAILINK power and data management and peripheral integration system, fully integrated with L3Harris's BNVD-F Fused Binocular system which not only combines traditional image intensified night vision with L3Harris's unmatched high performance Unfilmed White Phosphor image tubes with an LWIR thermal channel for increased detection and situational awareness, but is also provides a navigational Heads-Up Display (HUD) along with TAK integration capabilities while adding less than 22 ounces, less than the operational weight of many legacy I2-only NVGs, to the integrated headborne system.  L3Harris BNVD-F and Ops-Core RAILINK, pictured with the Pixels on Target VooDoo-S miniature thermal aiming system TNVC will also be providing updates on the TAD Thermal Augmentation Device, announced at the 2023 SHOT Show in conjunction with Optics 1 a miniature Clip-On Thermal Imager (COTI) system that can turn almost any existing I2 night vision goggle into a night vision / thermal fusion device and offering similar capabilities to the Optics 1 AN/PAS-29B ECOTI, but oriented towards the commercial and law enforcement markets and projected to release for sale later this year. Additionally, TNVC will have several new Night Vision Goggle housings on display, including the new Nocturn Industries Manticore-Ruggedized and ACTinBlack DTNVS-MG (Manual Gain), both featuring manually adjustable gain control and paring beautifully with the L3Harris "SuperGain" Unfilmed White Phosphor image tubes, introduced to the market by TNVC in 2022, featuring High Gain values of 100,000-120,000 fL/fc compared to ~65,000 fL/fc normally found on standard image intensifiers, providing the user with more information and brighter image, allowing them to extend their operational envelopes even further in the darkest conditions. On display will also be AB Night Visions new RVM-14 monocular and dual bridge system as well as Wilcox Industries' new upgraded version of the venerable G24 helmet mount, the G24P, featuring a 22.5o secondary "Passive" tilt position, allowing the user to more easily look under or through their NVGs in mixed lighting conditions.  The next generation of headborne systems Other new products will include new thermal sights from Pixels on Target as well as some new systems and accessory / peripheral management solutions as well as some other advanced technology solutions that you will just have to stop by to see. New for 2024 Wilcox G24P helmet mount. This mount came into existence upon request of a Federal Law Enforcement end user who needed an alternate stow position for use with GPNVGs. This mid-stow position also works fantastic with fixed bridge goggles to allow the user to more easily see under the goggles without the need to stow the goggle on the helmet. Once in the mid-stow position, the G24P operates as force to overcome, and the user can quickly reposition the goggle into fully deployed or fully stowed.     |

Regarding HMT, IMHO nothing noteworthy worth mentioning that's officially available. I did get to try the new firmware with the Armasight Sidekick 640. It's definitely better than the original firmware that shipped with units previously. |

The optics are "folded," not quite AN/PVS-21 level, but you can see from the location of the two objective lenses--there's no room for a tube directly behind them / it is not a fully "in-line" system like the GPNVG or most other PNVG systems. Allows for a little bit more compactness, however comes with the added complexity of dealing with mirrors, beam splitters, etc., that could potentially also degrade performance if only slightly and potentially complicate assembly / maintenance / add cost (though everyone knows GPNVG is "the one to beat," so reducing cost may be a primary consideration). ~Augee |
