While specifications certainly matter, experienced users understand that true performance comes from how much useful information you can process when ambient light begins to disappear.
Today, we're excited to announce that TNVC Filmed Super Gain (FSG) image intensifier tubes are officially available.
Developed exclusively for TNVC in partnership with a leading U.S. image intensifier manufacturer, FSG was created to satisfy a Federal requirement for improved low-light performance while delivering American-made reliability at a practical price.
Brighter Capability. Smarter Value.
Traditional Gen 3 image intensifier tubes typically operate between 40,000–80,000 fl/fc luminance gain, with many averaging around 60,000–70,000 fl/fc.
TNVC FSG operates at approximately 105,000 fl/fc luminance gain.
That additional luminance gain helps deliver meaningful real-world advantages, including:
• Brighter perceived imagery
• Improved visibility in darker environments
• Better environmental processing
• Enhanced situational awareness
• Increased ability to see into shadows and areas with limited ambient light
This isn't simply about making the image brighter.
Higher luminance gain enables your eyes to process more usable visual information when operating in degraded lighting conditions. Combined with advances in modern tube manufacturing, including cleaner imagery and lower noise floors than previous generations of high-gain tubes, FSG delivers improved performance without the compromises many users associate with older high-gain technology.

An excellent entry point into American-made Gen 3 performance. Commercial Grade tubes may exhibit additional cosmetic spots compared to Mil-Spec standards but continue to provide outstanding real-world capability and exceptional value.
Duty Grade
1600–1800 FOM
Built to Mil-Spec spot specifications, Duty Grade is designed for professional users, law enforcement officers, prepared citizens, and anyone looking for outstanding performance without stepping into premium pricing.
High Performance Grade
1800+ FOM
Our highest-performing FSG offering, featuring Mil-Spec spot specifications and premium image quality for users demanding the greatest possible capability.
