Second this. I bought an original a few years ago just in case of a future build, I wish I’d bought three. If you know what you’re looking at the current production ones are pretty offensive. Originals have gotten so expensive and hard to find that even if these were only sold as a separate item (guns weren’t built with them) and they cost $40 it would be acceptable. |

There has been no discussion about this, because you’re the only people who have brought it up.  It would take engineering time and lots of money to get a clone correct version made. The juice is probably not worth the squeeze. |

There's a bunch of discussions for a discussing clone curved forward assist button if you search. I haven't found single one wanting a CLET lacking a suppressor. It's not hard to modify on your existing FA in minimal amount of tooling.  Mine isn't perfect, but the modification wouldn't be difficult for bulk production. |

Sadly for the true retro detail guys, I think the vast majority of even fairly knowledgeable AR fans would not notice if an A1 forward assist is an original or a repro. I think this is one of those things that if you want it to look like the original, you fork out the money for an original. Sven Manticore Arms |
