I'm guessing this new method removes that requirement? I've tried it on 5 different receiver extensions/ RE (commonly called buffer tubes) and all have been as tight as my last BCM stock. Some of the RE have been BCM, others were unknown. All were snug with no notable play. I too have had to search for an allen wrench, nail, drill bit, firing pin, or similar implement, and understand what you mean. In the large scheme of things its not a big deal, but at the moment its a pain if you can't find anything. This stock negates the need for tools. |

Maybe I'm not enough of a scope snob, but being that I am an ultra snob with camera lenses, I would suggest I have at least a little valid opinion. The Vortex Optics PST II series just doesn't seem to get the respect they deserve. I also have two of their top of the line optics, and I still stand by my comment. The ultra glass (Razor HD Gen III) is clean and pure, but the PST are highly functional for me and my uses. To keep everything on a level playing field, my personal range goes out to 553 yards, so I'm not going to pretend I shoot with them at 1200 or anything. |
