I'll upload more pictures and info to update the thread soon. I have very little official information, aside from having two of them. The new stock is the BCM Mod 3. The body is polymer and appears to be lighter weight than other offerings. There is a rubber buttpad which is removable, and the stock accommodates a riser. The stock using a different latching mechanism than its BCM siblings. There are two risers available, giving a total of three head positions (for height). I am hesitant to post a release time frame, because people will complain. Some guys have never developed anything, worked a deadline, or had manufacturing issues. That being said, we should be looking at a release shortly after SHOT Show. I know that isn't an exact date, but it is a rough time table when we should see these shipping. I only have a couple hundred rounds through mine, but I've been using it on a BCM variant MK12, as well as with a few high rise optic setups on shorties. It feels good to me, as well as to the others who have fired with it.

I too have had to search for an allen wrench, nail, drill bit, firing pin, or similar implement, and understand what you mean. In the large scheme of things its not a big deal, but at the moment its a pain if you can't find anything. This stock negates the need for tools. |

The Vortex Optics PST II series just doesn't seem to get the respect they deserve. I also have two of their top of the line optics, and I still stand by my comment. The ultra glass (Razor HD Gen III) is clean and pure, but the PST are highly functional for me and my uses. To keep everything on a level playing field, my personal range goes out to 553 yards, so I'm not going to pretend I shoot with them at 1200 or anything. |
