Sweet!  Always looking for a new host for my RDIAS..... It'd go nicely with that 0-50-180 lever.  

While it's a sure thing they'll be marked for 45/50 selectors, will they perchance be auto marked??

Initially no, but it occurred to me that we went through the motions to make sure it's compatible with RDIAS, it should be thus marked as well.  I was just going to have the M16 receivers marked with three positions, now the semi will be too

The 0-50-180 selectors are all going back for the change we talked about

The half dozen samples floating around in the wild are the only originals, we never sold the 0-50-180 commercially, they were given to testers like yourself.  The new production 0-50-180 will have the lawyer pin, and it cannot be rotated between semi and auto when the hammer is uncocked (like the TDP 0-90-180 M16 selectors).

Woot!!  A change based on my input... now I'm practically OBLIGATED to buy one!  Send the word and I'll send the $$$!!

Right now I've got the original 0-45-180 prototype in my M16, and the 0-50-180 production model is slated to live with my RDIAS (once I buy some more levers).  I think a Battle Arms lower would be a perfect match.  Out of curiosity, how many of the 0-45(not 50)-180 prototypes exist?

Bob, about a dozen 0-45-180, fewer of the 0-50-180.  I've kept a few 0-50-180s here in case SOCOM comes knocking down our doors asking for them before the reworked 0-50-180 selectors are ready

We plan on making forged and billet uppers as well.  The direction and time table are about the same: standard forged receivers first, then billet.

Here's the very first test unit, a functional receiver that needs a bit tweaking

Looks great so far! The flared mag-well looks nice. Can't wait to see a finished product. Glad you are also going to be making upper receivers.

Money is being put aside now for a set.

If these end up as nice as your safeties this is really going to take your company to the next level.

We're mulling over fine details, given our penchant for attention to little things, it frustrates me that with a forged receiver, some things are just not going to be perfect, but these are minor gripes that do not affect functionality and will not be present on billet receivers.

The test unit is in the white, so all the imperfections show up very well, which an anodized receiver would have concealed

The flash can be removed, it's the irregularities of the forgings, asymmetric aspect.  I think I may be over reacting because the test receiver is in the white, when mated with Parkerized parts the minor imperfections tend to be amplified

This is not to say that our receivers will be more expensive simply because we can command higher prices, but it is our belief that competing in price point, especially for a small establishment that specializes in very high quality products, is a slippery slope best left for  companies geared and suited for that particular practice.

maybe put some of those classic serration design from your levers to the front of the magwell?  gives the lower a distinct look and feel that it's a BAD product, in addition to benefit of additional grip texture.  how about a tensioning screw to tighten up potential slack with uppers?  just something to throw out because when you mentioned being competitive with quality affordable lowers, mega arms jumped to mind.

v6, there are features beyond standard forged receivers we'd like to add to them, including the tension screw hole, all these options are on the table.  Once all the imperfections are worked out on the test units, we will start looking into these features that don't influence buying decisions.  Fit, finish, and functionality (not in that order) are the most crucial aspects at this stage

The trigger is an ATC AR Gold trigger

I didn't want to spend too much time assembling, and later taking apart all of the components, so we brought along a trigger pack to speed things up

On page 1 there is a picture of their logo milled into metal, but not as precise as it will probably be on the lower it self.
