Hi, new to the forum and soon to be CMMG owner. I have a Banshee 300 in 9mm Glock on order and I am trying to get all my accessories on order. I'd like to go with a 2 point sling and have a couple newbie CMMG specific questions: 1. Is the receiver end plate intended for a Magpul Paraclip? Seems the sharp edges on the receiver plate might wear the paraclip? What type of connector is intended by CMMG? Would I be better to change that out for an ASAP? 2. Does the Micro/CQB RipBrace come with a QD? 3. Does the Micro/CQB RipBrace have a location intended to add a QD? (Magpul type1 & type2?) I assume for the front just add a M-LOK® Paraclip™ Sling Mount (MAG607). Thanks in advance for any advise and opinions. |

Greeting and welcome to the site. You will like your Banshee. I will try to answer your questions. The endplate is not really all that sharp. It will kind of feel that way on your skin I guess but I run a Magpul MS3 and the endplate does not seem to bother it. The sling was not all that expensive so I guess in time if it did eat it up, well then it is time to replace it. The Banshee is very light even with a full mag so there is not much wear. The Rip brace does have a hole for the QD style slings if you wanted to go that route. I had not seen that little paraclip mount you spoke of so I went and looked it up. Kinda neat for the Mlock system on the Banshee. Currently run 2 of the RSA type's on my AR pistol, so I can use the MS3 either in single or double point as the mood requires. |

If I could make a suggestion. Switch out the receiver end plate for the MagPul ASAP QD plate: MAG529, and use the MagPul MS4 dual QD Gen 2 sling: MAG518. The sling will function as a 2 point, or as a 1 point sling when the second QD is inserted into the adaptor on the sling. The MagPul website shows how this all looks when said and done. You can use the Mlok mount MAG606 or the RSA mount MAG337 for the second point to mount your sling on the handguard. I run my AR's and my AR pistols this way, and it just plain works. Smoother and quieter than clips and hooks. |
