I ran across this at the Sig Sauer booth this year at SHOT and thought it was an interesting little device. The resolution is 206x156 but since the sight can be positioned farther away from your eye like a reflex sight the low resolution is not as noticeable. For $2,499 it may be a contender this year. I think the best things Sig has going for this sight are the ease of use, light weight design, and 8 hour battery life. I have no idea how useful something like this would be. I have looked at vids of it online I've seen videos of units with similar resolution and it looks as if a man would be hard to make out over about 100m, much less if he was partially obscured. I can see shit with a PVS14 at those ranges.
It also looks like you would have to have a rifle dedicated to it. |
