RPM Mount Overview and Installation video The Samson Rapid Precision Mounts (RPM) with 2" offset feature a lightweight design that doesn't compromise on durability or accuracy. Precision machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, these scope mounts are perfect to mate your favorite optic to your favorite firearm. Integrated into the clamp cross bolts are two steel recoil lugs to eliminate scope base movement during heavy recoil to better maintain zero. The scope ring bases utilize threaded steel inserts to prevent the internal threads from being stripped by the ring cap screws, extending the lifespan of the rings if you decide to change out the optic.Requires 7/64" hex wrench for rings and 1/2" wrench for thumb nuts. |

Just picked one of these up and its a very nice mount. With the popular mounts being $250-350 these days, this is a great option around $150 and extremely light. @samsonmanufacturing I would highly recommend trying to make a ring spacer that can go between the rings and the base. It would allow this RPM mount to be 1.7 or 1.9 heigh as other manufacturers do but since the bottom of the ring is screwed in it could be 'modular' with longer screws. I would also recommend trying to make a compatible red dot piggyback top ring for red dot mounting, which is a very popular thing now. |
