They are probably sold out because they were selling them for ~$80 a month ago. I purchased a one-piece carbine length and after I tried to install it myself and realized I couldn't get it tight enough, I had Paul torque it down. He is one EXCELLENT person to deal with. I received a phone call from him on a Saturday morning regarding my first order and whether I really needed to spend money on an item he didn't think I needed and after I ordered my FF tube, he called again to see how I liked it. As soon as I told him I still couldn't get it locked down (after he sent me a replacement ring because I scratched the first one) he insisted I ship it to him. Well, I did and I forgot to include return postage. I hadn't heard from him and 6 days later I received my upper, with the work done AND an extra 'goody' that you'd spend a small chunk of change on. I do NOT recommend purposely trying to forget to include postage like I honestly forgot to do. Paul is super cool, super professional, and he OBVIOUSLY IS NOT OUT TO JUST MAKE A QUICK BUCK !!!! By the way- I made my first order over the internet on their site. To him, I could have just been any old schmuck. He actually took the time to call ME on a Saturday morning to see if he could be of any help. I can't believe he's such a great guy- I'm not sure, but I'd have to say he's the owner- I have never seen ANY employee anywhere try so hard to please the customer. |

The biggest problem with inventory is the demand YHM has to contend with from Bushmaster, DPMS, RRA, etc. With big customers like that they tend to get priority because you have to keep them supplied or they'll look elsewhere. The backorders do make it hard on us little guys but I understand the situation. Hopefully the 2pc. carbine length handguards will be in within the next couple of weeks. |

| Why are we worried they aren't in stock? is BF having a hard time getting them in? I'd get my name put on a list if I were you and just wait. I ordered mine directly from YHM. That's where my set of FF LW carbine-length came from. I got them for under $100 when they were on sale last march. The ONLY thing that I do not like about them is the slots themselves. I wish they were solid through and not have the channel running down the center. I can totally understand that for the weight savings, but that's not a big deal anyway. |

Okay here's the straight scoop. I ordered my YHM 2 Piece rifle length handguards on Thursday, got them on Saturday. I formerly asked the question will they fit on a Bushmaster Dissipator, and the answer is yes.  Larger Image     The rail covers are by Tango Down. They fit very snug. I got them for an M4 project I was working on, but they can sit here for a while. This rifle is also getting a Phantom flash hider from BF this week. I've also tried my ARMS mounts on the rails and they fit perfectly. So I assume that theyre to spec. And my KAC verticle fore grip works good too. . |
