Had to take my KAC trigger guard off to return, it looked like it had been used a bit and then returned. That looks like a beast. She must weigh in around 13lbs or so? I'm assuming it's primarily a bench gun. |

I just thought Id share alittle of my personal expreience today. There have been multiple post on suppressor usage on a LE901. I began reading about these issues with only a month to go before I had the suppressor in hand. Well the day has come and the mail carrier delivered three new stamps. As you can imagine I dropped everyhing and made a quick trip to the range. As I was unlocking the gate the I remembered I had forgot to bring the cleaning rod to remove the jams another user experienced every round. I fired unspressed / suppressed about 60 rounds. Perfection. I didnt experience a single issue. The LE901 is completely stock with the exception on an AAC Brakeout. The suppressor is a AAC SDN-6. To the users that dont cycle properly; what suppressor are you using?

You can keep the paddle, I'm not interested. Like I also said, I'm not interested in the potential for the whole Thunderbeast vs. AAC drama either. It's like this--- AAC specializes in inconel cans for semis and beltfeds. Back pressure is a major concern for them. Thunderbeast's primary market has been bolt guns. Back pressure is not a concern on a bolt gun at all. Maybe there is something there, maybe there ain't. We have one 901 with an SN6 that runs fine, and one 901 with a Thunderbeast that was monstrously overgassed. Maybe a coincidence, maybe not. Too many loose variables and too small a pool to tell much. I'm not gonna drag this thread off topic in a protracted suppressor design argument either way though. It's just food for thought, and may even turn out to be irrelevant. I dunno. |

I will probably be taking my 901 out Sunday and shooting around 200rds through it with an SDN6. Let yall know how it goes.
Decided to sell it to fund an OBR, or SR-25. Something a little longer range. It's a pretty cool rifle though. Especially since it will accept a RDIAS, making it the only 308 to my knowledge that will accept an AR DIAS |
I've had my Sp901 for quite sometime now, Serial 0005$9 didn't know there was a pic thread.. 
Here is a 100 yard group, with a scope.. LOl.. No iron sights here.. Custom tuned loads, Win Brass, 45 gr Varget, 158 BTHP Sierra MK.. It does shoot sweet... 
I was thinking match 20" barrel, then throw my HK416 upper on when going to 5.56.. Make sensee???

Shot another 200 rounds through my 901, I shot 2 mags suppressed with an AAC SDN-6, both mags I had issues with suppressor. Lots of stovepipes, and one round got stuck in the barrel after it was fired, extractor claw ripped a chunk off the back. Tapped out with a cleaning rod easily.
Shot about 160 rounds after that un-suppressed, without a single issue... Soooo, WTF!!!! Those who have shot the 901 with a SDN-6, any issues at all? Just SDN-6 owners. Ammo was 168gr Federal M1A BTHP ammo. |

I personally had zero issues with a stock LE901 / SDN-6. If its relevant I used an assortment of ammo, most of which was Colt by Silver Bear 168 grain (FMJ-BT). According to Colt, my LE901 was manufactured in Jan 2013. I'm not sure how many changes have been made that may affect these issues.
Its worth noting that Colt by Silver Bear is steel cased. Is it possible that steel cased is the difference since it may not be as malleable and expansive in a chamber? |

Planned on posting pics with sbr uppers.... Unfortunately, my 9" DD.300blk won't interface to the adapter block due to the way the rail is designed.  Haven't tried it on the larue rail/bcm sbr upper, yet.

| I have a chance to purchase a SCAR 17S FDE (new) for $2575 out the door. I've seen a LE901 listed in the exchange for a while now for $2450 w/ not conversion adapter I believe. I have the conversion adapter so I'd hope I could get $2400ish relatively quickly. Anyone have an opinion? |

| Thread hijackin poonjabs. I got exited with the new listed posts. I just placed an order on a 901 today. I am going to be shooting nothing but the 150g fmjbt for the first few hundred rounds to see how consistent I can get it shooting. I have a lonely Geissele 2 stage sitting in my desk drawer waiting on the maiden voyage. I was told 6 weeks but I am willing to bet that translates to 16. |
