PA guys, I ordered a SLx Gen4 1-6 ACSS Aurora scope. I read that the gen 4 glass quality is the major change over the older scopes. How does it compare to the GLx glass? What glass is made where? Inquiring minds.... Still waiting for fulfillment (mount is the hold up iirc) so I am sitting here questioning my choice.  |

Thanks! I was comparing the SLx to GLx again and saw/ reminded myself why I chose the SLx, it’s more compact and lighter. I hope the new improved lenses make me giddy. The price is fair and your first responder, mil, LE appreciation is duly noted. Thank you for that! |

The new scope is great. Some of the online reviewers point out the edge distortion and accept it as a normal at the price point. Frankly I don’t really see the edge distortion, and the quality of the glass is better than I anticipated. Reticle is sharp and clear, plenty of brightness adjustment. This is a winner and a great bargain! Well done! This replaced a 1” tubed Nikon Mildot Tactical Buckmaster that I initially threw together for load testing but ended up carrying in the woods during hunting season. At dusk it was terrible. This SLx fixes that issue for sure! ETA I am quickly getting to the point that I view 1” tubed scopes the way I did the 3/4” tubed rimfire Tascos as a teen. Probably has something to do with age though. 30mm and lower power are just so much handier. |
