Been a fan of the PA prism scopes since they came out. 2 weekends ago took a son and grandson shooting. I wanted to try out my 8" Bren 2 with the SLX 3x scope. I just did not seem to get on paper no matter what I did so shelved the gun and shot something else. Today I went to an indoor range with reactive targets to try the 8" Bren2 and its 11.5" cousin. I was not sure where the issue was so wanted to also check barrel lengths for possible issues. 8" - shot it to get irons on target at 40'. Switched to the SLX and started back at 20'. Well to the left. Adjusted to the right and very little help. Had it all the way to the right and I could not hit center unless I did a hold over to the edge of the black circle. Same with the 11.5". So it seems it is either my adjustment wheel is reverse marked (I tried dialing it back to the left and I was going off paper, the mount is not square (it was tight), the optic/mount is off or I suck at shooting. Anyone have any issues with theirs? Attached File Attached File Well I had an ADM mount that fit this. Went to the range using 2 other rifles. No help - still cannot get it to center. Count clicks to get vertical and horizontal adjustments roughly centered. Smack it a couple times with the plastic handle of a screwdriver. Try again. If it's still acting up, PA will take care of you. I've had optics that would hang if taken to the limit of adjustment, but once freed up they functioned normally. |

I wonder if the mount angles have something to do with it. Check all my mounts and all have similar fit issues. Attached File Attached File Attached File |

I own a lot of PA prisms including three 3x. That being said the OEM mounts are garbage and should be replaced immediately. ADM is my go to but bobro, Trijicon, and MI are solid options as well. Also, a prism is not an RDS so a consistent cheek weld is absolutely necessary. The 1x is a little more forgiving but with a 2x plus magnification it is critical. If all else fails, have another experienced shooter take a crack at it to see if the issue persists. If it does, contact PA’s excellent CS and they will take care of you. I hope that helps

Now THAT is a sweet collection of PA optics on some sweet blasters, sir! Definitely know who I'm hanging out with at the range! lol

Thought I was dialing backwards or the ring was reversed. - no help either direction. My 1x is spot on like my Aimpoint Comp. Got a RMA coming for you to check it out. Appreciate you checking. |

PA replaced the scope - so it was not me. Got to love Primary Arms.
