Just moved to Texas and I'm looking to get a second centerfire pistol can to supplement my Octane 45 HD. I've heard nothing but good about Capitol Armory and saw that you're a SPEQ dealer as well (sent in a copy of my orders) - definitely plan to buy from you guys soon so I can enjoy the can some time in early 2018.
I'd like to stick to Silencerco products to keep the pistons interchangeable between it and the Octane (the Octane's 3-lug adapter is stuck pretty good on the can so basically it's a 3-lug can now). Was looking at an Osprey 45 or the Osprey 45K (really like the idea of something shorter but I understand the K loses a lot of suppression for those 3 ounces and 2 inches). Any recommendations? I know the Octane 45 K is around too but I get nasty blowback with the Octane and it doesn't seem like that's as common a complaint with the Osprey. I know the advantage with the Octane 45K is that I can stick a 9mm endcap on it and knock the sound down a little bit when not shooting .45. Should I be considering the Hybrid or the Omega 9K? Already have 2 .30 cal cans, a 5.56, and a few .22s, so not too concerned with something more versatile. I'm guessing the Omega 9K also sacrifices a lot of suppression in addition to being limited to 9mm? |

I like how Osprey's sound quite a bit... but don't think the 9K is sacrificing performance.
On a MPX, the Obsidian is 131.2dB in long (and 134.4 in short) the Omega 9K is 132.8dB. Omega 9K is on par with the Octane 45 on 9mm hosts. While destroying ammo reserves on an MP5 (legit A4) the Omega 9K is NOTICEABLY more quiet than the Revolution 45. Plus... it's a heck of a deal on SPEQ. |

I'm thinking I'll regret buying something that isn't capable of .45 because I'm not sure the 3-lug will ever come off the full-length Octane 45. |

A whole lot shorter will be the biggest deal.
The 9mm endcap for the Octane 45 is a waste of money, to be blunt. No performance increase, and increased risk of end cap strikes. |
