Are you able go get a clear read on what that .com address is that's above the barrel nut area on the top of the rail? For what it's worth, a lot of airsoft rifles use different threads for the barrel nut so it's a quick way to check for an obvious fake. The higher end gas blow backs do sometimes use milspec threads so it's not a guarantee...and someone could have purchased just the barrel nut from Geissele to make an airsoft rail fit. |

So this was a fun rabbit role. We found an old article that we saved from July of 2013. https://www.ocabj.net/geissele-hooks-it-up-super-modular-rail-mkiii-giveaway/ The MK3 MOD 1 Rev B would appear to be a match, but we cannot be 100% sure. It looks like they were part of a giveaway at that time. There are some cuts to the rail like at the 12 o'clock position to possible incorporate an FSB. The only other concern is that there would appear to be material removed from around the cross-bolt and corresponding nut. The likelihood is that the rail is legitimate, but heavily modified. As others have suggested, lets see if it threads onto the upper receiver extension! |
