I have a question about a scope rail combo. Today i have a mrad razor hd2 on a 300 prc rifle. it has a 20 MOA rail and the mount is 0 MOA that is 1.285 above the rail and zeroed at 200 yrd with no issue. 100 yrds also zeroed. I am looking to swap that optic to a different rifle and get a new mrad razor HD3 optic for this rifle. Looking at mounts, i found 2 that i would like to use: -a 20 MOA mount (for a total of 40 MOA or about 12 mrad including the rail) that has a centerline of 1.5 -a 10 MOA mount (for a total of 30 MOA or about 9 mrad including the rail) that has a centerline of 1.4 I would like to get a 20 MOA mount (for a total of 40 MOA or about 12 mrad). do you think i would be able to zero the rifle at 200 still with the extra 20 MOA? |

This setup should work being able to zero at 200 yards (Possibly even 100 yards) as the Razor Gen III 6-36x has 36.1 MRAD of total elevation travel. As a general rule of thumb, it is best not to exceed more than half of the elevation travel with canted bases/mount.
