For the limited info we saw on the Corto from SHOT it looks like a 30 cal suppressor.  Is it fine to run on a 308 like an obr or predatar?  How much louder is it in that capacity compared to the TranQuilo?  Any idea on when they might be on the website available to order?  Does it require a different muzzle brake than the TranQuilo?

Thank you.

From gathering info from other threads my .02 is; it is a 30 cal brake, requires the short muzzle adaptor and no one but Larue knows the db differences.as to ordering one I would not get too excited as they have yet to fill the week one l.e.p.e. Of fath orders for the Tranquillo .

I like the mini, but not the need for separate muzzle devices.so unless the db reduction matches the full size you guys can have it.of course if they release a 300 bulk upper then maybe I could be swayed

I was told by Tim that the muzzle device will only come in a FH and like you said it won't be interchangeable with the TranQuilo.

The SURG has to have a flash hider .... didn't try the brake in the Corto, maybe it'll fit. If not, we can knock a smidge off until it will.

The Corto is our "short" TranQuilo suppressor designed to slap onto our version of the S.U.R.G.

The SURG is 'Suppressed Upper Reciever Group' ...

We had them in full-auto 5.56 and a 300 BLK on the ATAC demo day line ... The 300 had 1,500 rounds full-auto and looked like 6 had been shot through it at end of the day.   Trying to keep up with the cool guy marketing, after looking at the 300 BLK in the condition it was in when it left the line at end of the day, I was thinking NBP - Negative Back Pressure ...comes with a built-in vacuum cleaner to keep upper receiver in pristine condition during "real-world hard use".

will the Cortos mount to the tranquilo brakes/adapters that are already available or do they need their own mount like pictured in fingar's pictures?

As we read the solicitation, The SURG has to measure at or under 24" from tip of can to back of receiver (just to be sure, we measured it to the charging handle).

Barrel has to be 11.5" minimum, and since one of our 12.0" barrels holds 3rd place on the 1MOA Chalkenge ... we went with it.

Has to have Keymod / MLok on the handguard ... so we used our Stealth 2.0 since it had Keymod and we already had it drawn.

For those of us more concerned about weight savings than Hollywood quiet, do you think the Corto will take enough sting out of a 308 to make it tolerable with out a full set of earpro?  I am referring  to someone that will carry a rifle, like a PredatAR hunting and would be likely to make a shot without donning earpro.

Plans to offer the stealth 2.0 with a 10.5" barrel?  That's the set up I'm looking for and I'm about to chop my tOBR down to make it work.  Would love to have a factory option instead.

I'm thinking the Corto on a PredaTAR would make a nice hunting rig.

Not to derail the thread, but are there any plans to offer a 7.62 PredaTAR barrel so that we can just slap that on a PredatOBR?  I have been looking for that for some time.  If I understand correctly all that would be necessary would be to change out the barrel nut.

It is if you want to add additional NFA items to my existing trust (already with a lot of NFA items) after the 41F effective date and don't want numerous trustees (who may constitute "responsible persons" depending on who you ask and how the trust is drafted) to be have to get fingerprinted and photoed.  Don't want this hassle.  Just me.

I wish texas would adopt a law similar to the Montana Firearms Freedom Act.  Since LT has started making everything in house it would give Texans a lot of "opportunities. "

We have one in committee right now

I'm sure it would set off a showdown though.....Maybe Mark needs to invite Abbott over for a range day.

Now that we are back from the Shotshow, we'll tag team that solicitation and milk it for all it's worth.

If we need it quieter yet, we can knock off that 1/2" of barrel down to 11.5".  And we can push the overall length to the edge ... this adds 3/4" to the Cortos length, and if that doesn't do it, we'll slap an extra 1/4" on the OD ... or more.

I'm in the market for another mini size can...will be keeping an eye on that Corto.  I really want to get any form 4's for upcoming can purchases in before the new requirements...yeah, just like everyone else.  One in the pipeline right now, hoping my Tranquilo gets in...not getting my hopes up on this one.

Mark will the Cortos be "better" on a 5.56 12" and 14.5" barrel compared to the TranQuilo?

The TranQuilo mounts shipped out last week that have been on back order. I'm wondering now if I need to hold off having one P/W on the 14.5".

Will the Costos mount work on the TranQuilo?

Mark,
Will Corto be available for sale as a standalone suppressor like the Tranquilo or will it only comes in a SURG package? I'm really interested in buying it for my existing SBR.  Thank you!

In light of today's FBI statement regarding Hillary, can we pre-order Corto ASAP? Would love to start Form 4 before Jan. 20, 2017...

Thank you, Mark!

So, bringing this back from the dead.  Any updates on the Corto?

Too bad this dosent seem to be going anywhere soon.

Would have been nice to have a flash hider LaRue muzzle with the Corto for 300BLK and 556

Any updates as to a final product?  I’d be in on a shorter tranquillo using the same brake or a newly released flash hider that also fits both suppressor’s.
Think of it as a lighter/shorter duty/home defense supressor. I’m ready for another LEPE of faith as long as the muzzle devices allow both suppressors to interchange

Yep. I’d love a 556 size Tranquilo. If it’s “hogged” out just slightly for 6.5 Grendel even better

i'd prefer we leave it 30 cal so it has the same versatility as the tranquillo, just shorten it up 2 inches and see what happens?

^^^ I’m good with that as well for the 300bo crew
