I have recently purchased three EDT SS triggers.
The first has smooth creep and holds four pounds after several hundred rounds of break in. I'd call the length of creep moderate and with the green spring, it holds four pounds. While many on the internet say they want no creep, I don't agree, and this EDT's movement before break gives me an idea of what the trigger is doing.
The second EDT was initially as bad as a new GI trigger, heavy and rough. After 500 or so pulls, it is still is still heavier than the first, but has no creep; at about five pounds it just trips with none of the slow creep of the first. It's like a "no creep" single stage trigger. I put it in a rifle I rarely use.
The third EDT is amazing. It wasn't bad out of the wrapper, but smoothed up considerably with only a little use. If they were all that way, I might not own anything else.
Is my experience with the second trigger within the normal range for EDTs? I'd like to have more, but not if every second or third one is like the second one above.
UPDATE: I gave Hiperfire a call and spoke with Steve. He understood exactly the problem as I described it to him even though he noted that I was the first person to ever complain that his EDT was too crisp. Despite this not being a warranty claim (I tried to smooth things out with a felt wheel), he offered a replacement, and I accepted.
The main purpose of my call was to see whether my problem was an exception or a common occurrence. Since it seems to be an exception, I'm ordering more.
UPDATE #2: I sent my trigger to Steve and it arrived on 7.31. He sent a new one out the next day, a Sunday, and I just received it.
