Pulsar Quantum HD19A Get yours here: Pulsar Quantum HD19A Thermal Monocular The new Pulsar Quantum LD19/HD19 series monoculars have an impressive image due to their higher resolution(384x288) than standard 320 core monoculars, and large OLED or LCD display. The Green LD19s is the 9hz version and the Black HD19s is the 30hz version. The LD19s/HD19s thermal monocular also has a 3.5mm video out jack for recording, an external power jack with an optional battery pack, and runs on 4 AA batteries. They are equipped with 2 standard 1/4-20 screw holes to mount accessories or mount to a tripod. The lens cap is an iris style cap so there is no flip-up cap to get in the way during use. The LD19s/HD19s has a 1.1X 19mm lens with 2X digital zoom and has options for manual and auto calibration. One of the most amazing features of the LD19s/HD19s and all Pulsar Quantum thermal handheld units is the ability to adjust brightness and contrast independently. This is a feature not found on any other handheld monocular under 5k, and allows the user to fine tune the image for any situation by bringing contrast up for situations like humid environments, or brightness down to reduce night blindness. The Quantum series are are great package for an unbeatable price. The Pulsar Quantum units are manufactured in Belarus, but the the US manufacturer Sellmark offers a 3 year warranty and are located right here in North Texas. I handled one of these at the recent Pulsar ProStaff get together, all I can say is it is the best 2k thermal I have ever used.
30 hz 388 resolution and independent adjustment of contrast and brightness 
You should sell a TON of 'em. ID of animals 100 yards and in shouldn't be a problem with detection capability much further out! |

Purchased one from UNV after renting oneJuly 5, 2015 Reviewer: KB from IA Just felt compelled to give my opinion on this. Purchased one from UNV after renting one and after less than a minute looking through it I knew I was going to buy it. Had a FLIR 24 previously; which is a quality product and I was happy with but this was outstanding. Haven't looked through anyting first hand other than these two but detection range with this was far better than I'ld have hoped for even without the 2x. I could detect a dear size animal easily at 1/2 mile and coyote size (which is what I want at 400 to 500 yds. easily. Haven't had a chance to detect them beyond that yet but am sure it will. Adustments for brightness and contrast are great and selecting one of the preset modes is usually all I use. Has battery packs so you can change out in the field if needed, rotational built in lens cover and great case. They even offer a Pelican type hard case for free. This has taken detection to another level for me. Fabulous is all I can say for the money. No problem picking up a coyote at 500ydsJune 2, 2015 Reviewer: Owen Lupton Recently rented a HD19A from UNV to compare to a Flir PS24 I had. It only took a few minutes to figure out I was going to buy this unit. It was head and shoulders better than the 24. Use it to scan for coyotes primarily and while the 24 served its purpose ok the 19A gives me better range, more adjustments that are VERY useful and a 2x zoom also for only a small amount more than the 24. I am thrilled with it and this moved detection to a much higher level. Have no problem picking up a coyote at 500yds. While you can't ID it, if this is what your hunting for you pretty much know by its movement what it's going to be. Would thing this would be great for any hunter who is out before or after dark. Wouldn't be without it for night hunting. It picks up heat signatures well beyond the advertised 500 meters and is excellent for scanning while predator hunting. Image and clarity are amazing.
