| Hey @Faxon-Pat I run the PWD and am very active in the ultralight AR builder community. As a group, I'd say people generally love your SLIM flash hider. It's one of the lightest on the market and handy when dealing with changing gas blocks when the FH is pinned on the bbl, as designed. There's only one issue...it's steel. Is there ANY chance that Faxon would ever make, even in a limited run, either a Ti one or an Al one or max weight savings? I'd buy at least 4 of them myself, and I know many other ultralight builders would as well. If you need a guniea pig to test durability, I'll provide the ammo/time to test it...id just really really love to see such a product be produced, even of it was just a limited run! |

Hey @Faxon-Pat, I built the worlds lightest rifle length AR 15 at 2.5 pounds with your 16.1 inch pencil barrel @ 19.4 ounces. My AR308 with 16.1 inch Faxon barrel is now at 3.9 pounds, shoots about 1 MOA.
But both barrels could easily be built an ounce less, I can't see why people get an ultra light pencil barrel and then put a 2 inch gas block on. |

I love the idea!
We just bought a machine to begin making all of our muzzle devices in-house. I will plant the bug in some ears about doing a limited run of titanium slim flash hiders, along with some titanium gas blocks! |

| That would be epic. Any chance a hole for pinning could be added? Any ultralight builder is going to put it on a sub-16" bbl, so it'll need to be pinned anyway to avoid NFA. Since you guys make bbls with these pinned from the factory, I presume adding the hole would be a standard manufacturing step anyway... |

Just picked up the 10.5 pencil for my lightweight build, my 4th Faxon barrel. |

Same here on the slim 3 prong in aluminum or Titanium!!! Count me in for sure. I feel like the lightweight crowd understands the durability limitations versus steel, and we are ok with it. A 14.5 pencil profiled for max weight savings would sell too I'd imagine. Carbine length gas with shorter gas journal, smaller muzzle shoulder, etc. |

Yeah, anyone that can weld on Ti should be able to do it. C'mon Faxon, the lightweight AR builders army is counting on ya! We need a Ti SLIM FH!!!

BTT, not giving up! The LW crowd managed to convince Faxon to make the 10.5" pencil, I think we can do the same with the Ti Slim FH.
