I was going through the safe yesterday and way in the back was an old Colt preban A2 Government carbine. On it was an Aimpoint CompM4 I had forgotten about. Decided to check the battery. Nope. No way it would come off - not even with Visegrips or penetrating fluid.
Dang. So cut the side down to where it was close to threads and cut the top for a screw driver. Nope. Got a wrench that fit the hex on the screwdriver, wedged it between me and a pad on the side of the workbench. Off it came. I usually leave the batteries out but totally forgot about this one.
