I have both I find the dot to appear a little sharper in the pro. The biggest selling point to the micro is that it weighs half as much as a pro. You will also need a quality ar height mount to go with the micro, which will add to the cost difference. There is really not a compelling reason to swap mounts on the pro, I have run the factory qrp2 mount hard and it has held zero just fine. I bought the micro for a rifle I had that needed to loose weight and don't regret it. If I was going to do it over again I would splurge another $100 and get the t2 over the t1 for the fact that the t2 has steel helicoil inserts in the base that will hold the mount secure without the fear of stripping out the holes in the base. |

 New Aimpoint Duty RDS on my Colt LE6920-EPR upper half conversion kit with Colt SP6920 marked "Sporter M4 Carbine" lower half. I have an older Aimpoint M2 (2005) still working good and I'm a long time Aimpoint owner of my first red dot model 2000 that I bought new way back in 1989. The mount height is in between absolute co-witness and lower 1/3 co-witness. Aimpoint Duty RDS specs: 30,000 hours (over 3 years) of constant operation on setting 7 1 Off position, 4 night vision compatible settings and 6 daylight settings Push button up and down brightness setting on the left side of the optic body Torx wrench used to mount optic and adjust the red dot horizontally and vertically Weight 3.8 oz / 108 g (sight only) Submersible to 80 feet (25 meters) Advanced optical lenses for enhanced light transmission and ultimate dot clarity Rear lens cover is transparent, front lens cover is not transparent Includes: One-piece torsion nut mount & spacer, flip-up lens covers, CR2032 battery, Allen T10 wrench Go to the Aimpoint site for more information. |
