All I'm seeing is the POF roller cam gas key. There used to be one other option that was nitride finished, but it's not even listed anymore (I wasn't a fan of that option). I remember when you used to carry Colt's gas key for close to $50, but that's been gone for a long time. I've always wondered why there is no standard phosphate and chrome Brownells branded gas key available? Is there a shortage of gas keys or something? |

Thanks for the link! That's the nitride finished one I mentioned that I wasn't able to find on their site on my last search. I swear I typed in every possible way to say "gas key" or "carrier key" and all that was popping up for me was the POF roller cam gas key. Still hoping that Brownells will eventually stock a normal phosphate and chrome version of that nitride gas key. |

Yep, for me on most things it’s phosphate or I’m out. Though my biggest issue with nitride on things like gas keys or end plates is that they just can’t take a stake. Nitride hardens these parts to the point where they will crack and of course it will also wear down your staking tools quickly if you attempt it (so I don’t). |
