Dark Storm Industries designed their fixed magazine lowers specifically for states with AWBs. The DSI lower is totally legal in CT, as it is not machined out for a magazine catch, and the mag is held in by a screw in a totally different location. This changes the design, and makes it a non-detachable magazine, thus making it legal to sell into CT. That being said, it is still legal to ship standard lowers to a CT FFL for transfer to exempt LEO or military, so there is no liability in a dealer to dealer transfer, especially for a non-banned firearm, When I approached customer service about it, I was told it could not ship to CT. Your business, your rules I guess. |

While I agree with you, I don’t believe that has got anything to do with PAs decision. My point in bringing it up is there is no real legal reason not to ship anything to a CT FFL. They can still sell anything to exempt individuals, or they can re-sell out of state. If you have a manufacturer’s license, you can even make anything on the ban list. Remember, what is left of Colt is still making ARs here. I can understand if PA just doesn’t want to bother with sales of anything to CT, as much as that sucks. But as the country drifts farther left, and more states pass AWBs (looking at you VA), companies like PA will have to hold their noses and ship what is legal to Americans behind the Blue Curtain. |
