The Gen 2 barrel and the newer Gen 1 7.62x39 rifles I mounted the parts on were both right around .730" diameter. So the NDS-59 works fine. We are going to need some crowd sourced info for barrel diameters for each caliber and model number. Mostly because we don't have all the new ones, and it seems some of the G1 barrel profiles have changed. I don't have pricing or availability date yet. ETA: you might need to remove the cheek riser to see the sights on the G2.    @ClanDireWolf @Capt_Destro |

Gen 1, I think, Grendel. SN 6904001xx It’s not a fluted barrel and I bought it about 2 years ago. Roughly Spring ‘22, and the store I bought it from is notorious in that most guns sit for years, even through The Great Panic. .1” behind thread shoulder: .0729”-.0730” 1” behind thread shoulder: .0729”-.0730” Mitutoyo digital calipers. |
