I was finally able to shoot my new PredatOBR for the first time. I shot 20 rounds of Federal Matchking 175gr. then cleaned it and lubed it.
I then installed my new Surefire SCOM RC suppressor. With the rifle set in suppressed mode, I experienced issues. It is like there is not enough "gas" to expel the casings. None would eject. I tried unsuppressed mode for a few rounds, and it works OK. What could be going on with my "baby"? |

Are the cases being left stuck in the chamber or are they not getting ejected completely and stovepiping in the ejection port? What length barrel? What type buffer and spring? Did you have the rifle lubed well before going to the range? Did you load one in the mag and shoot to see if it would lock back on the last round? J |

Need to verify Did you have the rifle lubed well before going to the range? After the first clean I lubed it, though it was not wet or as much as I would have liked it. Wouldn't it fail as well unsuppressed if it was running dry? Did you load one in the mag and shoot to see if it would lock back on the last round? Yes, same problem J |

So I had some issues and put in a stronger (or heavier) buffer spring to slow down extraction time and that put things back to smooth. My suppressor just sped things up too much and my extractor and ejector were trying to rip the casing out before it had time to finish expanding and or return to a normal size. I had some heavy marks from the extractor and ejector on the brass. Even had one primer pop totally out and wind up in my trigger group.
The 556 tOBRs were coming with the red spring in addition to the normal buffer spring for suppressor use. That's where I got the idea for a heaviert 762 buffer spring. Hope this helps plus it's a super cheap option to try Eta: I have a tOBR 14.5 with what Surefire now calls the "legacy" 762 can |

I neglected to provide all the details.
After each shot, I could see the bolt was just about 1/3 open. The cases were not physically stuck in the chamber, requiring removal forcibly. All I had to do was pull the charge handle and the cases would eject. That's when I used the gas selector / switch block from Suppressed to OFF (Un/Suppressed) for testing and it works OK even with suppressor on. |

OP never said it was over gassed in the normal setting. Give it more than one trip to the range I bet it will be working right as rain |

If I understand what OP is telling us, the rifle will function unsuppressed in the unsuppressed setting. When he puts on his suppressor and switches the pst to suppressed it does not have enough gas to function. If he flips the switch to unsuppressed with the suppressor it does function. My only concern is that it would be overgassed like that and might function ok, but would be harder than normal on the components. I am aware that the SOCOM generates less back pressure than most cans, but I have never heard of another 7.62 obr/tOBR owner having to do this. At the very least I would call the shop on Monday. Please let us know what the verdict is. These issues are interesting to me. |

They had me ship the rifle back to the shop for inspection. I hope they can fix it as I plan to shoot suppressed most of the time.
I sent them the exact same magazines I used and rounds from the same batch and leftovers from the range. |

I'm having the same problem with my 16" PredatOBR and a SilencerCo Specwar 762. |
