Introducing the Safran Optics 1 Thermal Augmentation Device (TAD) available to the commercial market exclusively through TNVC, and will be available to purchase later this year! The TAD provides world-class thermal integration capabilities to all users at an attainable price. The TAD is a small, Clip-On Thermal Imager (COTI) that can be adapted to almost all MIL-SPEC night vision systems. With an MSRP of $6,500, the TAD was developed specifically with the commercial market in mind, and features an improved 672 x 544 10um sensor with the same 30 degree field of view of the AN/PAS-29B ECOTI, while adding only an additional 122 grams to the night vision system (including the CR123A battery). The carbon is a better option for hardcore use. It's a tougher material, more rigid, and feels like the ballistic in terms of how solid it is. With that said, the new BUMP uses the Lux Liner which makes it more rigid than the previous BUMP. |

This sounds like a great option. My body is ready! However, my wallet is not (still recovering from the supergain RNVG). When should we expect to see these? A couple of things. I'll take improved thermal performance over ATAK stuff which I don't have access to. Props to you guys for bringing this out. Let us know when we can get on the pre-order list. I have basically already built the new OC bump helmet, but, I really want the std metal shroud. When I do ruck runs at night I keep thinking about that plastic shroud dumping binos on my face. I dedicate this new model to Augee, and the pioneering work he did in getting OC to think in this direction.
