I heard rumblings that there might be a new Super APC trigger in the works?  Should I be hopeful or look for another option?

I have an OG Super APC Trigger and would love another if you can find one in the "garage" for me.

Our apologies, but we are unaware of any APC trigger development. We have made them in the past as you said but unfortunately do not have any firm plans on it rejoining the lineup. If you don’t mind us asking, where did you hear it from? Was it from a reliable source, a thread, or article?

It’s good to hear that you have one of our originals thought they are extremely rare!

@GACS - is there a reason why you guys moved away from the APC platform? I, too, have been searching for a Geissele trigger for mine.

There was no major reason, back when it was designed we simply focused on the triggers customers and dealers wanted most and kept pace with that model.

With that being said, we could always return to it with it's popularity, we just don't have any firm details or planning yet to do so.

@GACS Hello, I would not qualify it as a reliable source.  I caught wind of it on a Reddit thread posted by someone who spoke with another who had inside info.  I guess I bought into it.  Considering that the APC platform seems to be gaining popularity I thought it made sense and didn't seem like a stretch.

My APC 9 has had a G trigger in it from almost day 1. That was the best upgrade on that gun. It's a dream to shoot.

If you have a link we would love to see it! We could chime in and try to offer any support/clarification. It also gives us another thread to save in the event of something being developed. We passed this feedback onto our project managers. An APC trigger revival has been a wanted for a long time!

I searched but I couldn't find the exact thread, go figure.  However, if you do a quick Reddit search there is alot of buzz regarding aftermarket triggers for the B&T APC.

It seems Elftmann has the lions share of the trigger aftermarket for this platform.  They are good guys and appear to make a good trigger but a lot of people including myself aren't huge fans of cassette style trigger packs.

Others are modding the APC to slip in random Geissele triggers.

Your best bet for an APC platform trigger upgrade is to purchase an aluminum lower (either for the APC 9 or the APC 223/300/308) and use a Larue MBT trigger. Idaho Tactical 2A offers this upgrade.

I am bewildered as to why B&T does not modify their lowers to allow the use of standard AR-15 triggers. Their new SPC 223 uses the same APC lower design, and they did not update it to allow for the use of standard AR-15 triggers.

Having said, I would love to see a Geissele SSA level trigger for the B&T APC/SPC platform. Until then, we have to buy a separate aluminum lower and use a Larue trigger.

Yeah, I'm not buying an additional $800 aluminum lower just so I can install a better trigger.  I would go the Elftman route before that, even not being a fan of the cassette style trigger.  Also, I stay away from LaRue.

I have 7 - G triggers, 1 - ALG and an unobtainum G Hammer.

I hate the Elfman trigger. The one I tried on an APC 223 was single stage and barely has any take up.

I will take a Larue two stage trigger any day of the week. I really wish B&T would have worked something out with Geissele (financially, personally, maybe hot steamy showers with Bill and Karl) to have good two stage Geissele triggers in the entire APC line, or at least B&T could have designed the APC lowers to allow for the use of AR-15 triggers. It is crazy that B&T did not do that.

I feel that,
I prefer the XCR route, and its annoying they have their own proprietary trigger for such a phenomenal gun.
I dream that one day geissele will buy out the rights to the XCR and make that in house with their barrels and bolt materials.

Pretty interesting because B&T now has these triggers in stock for the price of a kidney.  Either B&T had a pile of new/old stock triggers squirreled away or Geissele was holding out.

They do not appear to be available on Geissele's website.  This is unfortunate because they would probably be "normal" price.  B&T has become the new H&K in terms of price.

Ax Arms has them in stock also.  Not sure if their inventory is legit - same kidney price though.  Euro Optic shows the same price and available for back order.  What's going on here Geissele?

They are popping up on various sites.  Not sure how reliable some of the inventory is.  Found some "normal" priced offerings as well.

I secured mine for the normal price which was not cheap but at least not B&T levels.

Why are they not on the G site?

Hello Milspec,

The inventory on B&Ts website is legitimate, we cannot vouch for any of their dealers though as we did not ship to anyone else directly. We would highly encourage you to follow up with B&T, as this was a limited run of the APC triggers. At this time we do not have additional plans to produce more, which is why you wouldn't see them on our website. If the demand is high enough though there is always a possibility of seeing more through dealers or our webstore.

The APC is a fantastic platform, and we are always excited to work with B&T whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Thanks for the insights.  Much appreciated.  So glad you folks produced these triggers again.  I suspected this was probably a limited run since they are not on your website as you mentioned.  It seemed only logical and that's why I snapped one up while I could because I was thinking they would not be around very long!  I grabbed mine from a B&T dealer that I believe to be reputable and have done business with in the past.  I suspect this is why they had inventory although quite limited.  They only had two triggers in stock and are now sold out.

Thanks again for doing this!!  Ouch my wallet hurts.

Hello,

I received my APC 9 Pro trigger this morning.

It came in B&T retail packaging/bag as opposed to a Geissele bag or box.  I can't imagine someone faking a B&T bag but it's different than usual.

Also It only came with one trigger spring.  I was under the impression it used to come with two.  Do you know which trigger spring weight this limited run was made with?  From past experience a single stage 2.75 lb trigger is way too light in a PDW for my preferences.  I prefer the 4 lb.  Is the 4 lb spring for the Super APC trigger the same one used in the SSA and G2S triggers?

Thanks and happy holidays!

Hello MilSpec!

Due to the nature of the trigger being brought back, I only have the previous spec, but we are actively working on getting you more information on packaging and contents. From the previous trigger I am seeing "2.75 or 4lbs." so their absolutely was two springs available at the time. We are working to see which one was included with this run.

If you have the trigger in hand. Our silver spring is the lightest, it will be featured on E model triggers. The Black trigger spring is our medium weight found on SSA models. The Gold is our heavier 3-Gun spring. If you can send us a DM I would be happy to ship a spring out to you that fits your needs! We could send the black spring and the gold spring if need be!

I just got my new Super APC installed in my APC9. Unfortunately they sent me two of the long pins so one is hanging out of my receiver by 1/8” and they only included one spring. I really would have hoped for better on a $500 trigger.

It functions and feels great though. Maybe mine was packaged on a Friday at 4:30.

Hello Layman,

Just for clarification, the hammer pin and trigger pin are sticking out 1/8 of an inch further than the B&T Lowers "bump out" on the lower? We haven't had anyone report back that they received longer pins, but we are happy to send you out new ones if that's the case.

That's what I did several years ago, for around $250.

Just got two Super APC triggers from I2AT.  Thought they were expensive at $360 each, but seeing them at $478 on the B&T website, Yikes!  The ones I got were the same as pictured in the post above.  No alternate springs.

I2AT is where I picked mine up.  Not cheap but........no need to pay the B&T premium of $478.  It's outrageous and they have been sitting on them.

Took me a month and a half to get a warranty replacement mag bumper from B&T.  Their customer service is quite responsive but lately shipping has been sloth slow due to moving to the new warehouse in Utah.

I gauged my trigger pull and it came with the heavier spring which I like.  The lighter spring will release the trigger with a sneeze.

That is correct. They sent me two of the longer (hammer) pins instead of one of each. So one pin is flush on both sides and the other is flush on one side and hanging out about 1/8” on the other.

I’m sorry I am just now seeing this. I reached out to you guys via email on 2/14 and didn’t receive a response until 3/9. The person told me over email that they were trying to find more information on this trigger.

They then responded today that they have located replacement pins for me and that they are looking into more info on the springs. It only came with the gold spring and I would like the ability to swap to a lighter pull weight (like the trigger was advertised).

Overall the CS taking over a month to resolve this issue has not been a great experience to be honest.

Yeah that’s a bit excessive, a month.
I would like to run the G trigger but the price is hard to swallow

I’m an FFL and just got a dealer account with Elftmann. I had him do the new Apex trigger with legacy shoe. So far it’s been great in my personal metal APC9 lower. Much less expensive than the G. May have him do a batch for me if there is enough interest. Both flat and curved shoes.
You think you're winning this game? You don't even know the God-damned rules. But don't worry, I'm gonna teach 'em to ya..
