Quick q: what if Esstac made a PC back/rear setup similar to the front on the Daedons, so you could mount a quick-detach assault pack to the back (obviously the female part of the buckle would have to be on the highest row of PALS/MOLLE on the back panel for it to work, and there'd have to be velcro on the bottom half of the rear like on the old Daedons)?
Then the pack could just have two male buckles at the top with velcro (hook side I guess?) on the back. Something similar in size to the Haley flatpack. Everyone complains that PC mounted packs limit gear accessibility, but if all you had to do was reach behind each shoulder, release the buckles, and tear away the pack, it'd only be nominally more more difficult to access than a standalone pack. I realize the zipper systems *kind of* do the same thing, but I still think the two top buckles + velcro would be plenty stable and would definitely make the pack more accessible than the zipper systems.
So just to clarify, the back of the PC would basically be setup the same as the front, except the female buckles would be situated on the top left and right corners instead of near the middle, and the pack would basically have the same setup as the 3 mag panel for the front, with male buckles at the top and velcro on the back.
I dunno, just a thought. There was one other company I found that did something similar to what I'm proposing (I forget now), but it was 4 "tubes" type closures rather than two buckles + velcro...and it was $350
