Got a this rail from primary arms. In the box the come with the ladder rails.. NOT the smooth sided rail covers. Wondering is this legit? |

Also noticed on the box the pic has a FDE pic of the rail...but its a blk ris II Also..the two little check boxes for what color is in the box was check FDE, but small white tape was placed over that little box, then the blk was checked off. Is there a tell tail sign it's 100% real? And thank you very much for your help. |

I should point out that Magpul-style ladder rail covers used to be standard on all DD quad rails (and rifles/URGs with quad rails) up until early-2015 or so, when the "snakeskin" rail covers were first introduced. Joe, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the ladders also come standard with all of the RIS II rails that DD sold to SOCOM? I always figured that's why they're so common in the pics I've seen of Block II rifles being used downrange. |

Earlier commercially packaged rails came with 3 Ergo ladder covers. Black for Black. FDE for FDE. |

Whereas my factory M4A1 with an FDE RIS II (which I still own) does have an NSN. |
