Have an 8” 556 and have wondered about using my 5k AM on it. Any guess on how long the can will last? Gun does have an frt in it. |

I think a short brake like our minimalist brake isn’t a bad idea there. I haven’t seen anything nickel 625x with enough wear to know where the wear life is. I just know from our testing it exceeds the performance of 718 by a considerable margin. There are carbides and work hardening and wear reducing materials there that do a really good job with wear, but in 8” and frt the application is a severe wear application meeting a very wear resistant alloy so its hard to predict. |
